Privacy Policy

To run a check you give us a brand name, website domain, category, country and optionally competitor names. That's business information about the brand being scanned, and it's all the check needs: there is no account, no signup and no password.

Like almost every website, our servers see your IP address when you use the service. We use it transiently to apply fair-usage rate limits (a cap on scans per hour); we don't build profiles from it.

If you buy the full report, the email address you give Stripe at checkout is used to send you the link that opens your report, and for nothing else. If you choose to email us, we'll have your email address and whatever you send, used only to reply.

The brand details you enter are turned into buyer questions and sent to the AI engines that power the scan, and the answers are scored into your report. Question sets are cached briefly on our servers so re-running the same brand is fast. For every completed free scan, we store a separate anonymised research row containing only the category, country, per-engine scores and metrics, and cited domains. It never contains the brand, website, competitor names, email address, IP address or any AI answer text. We use these rows only for aggregate research, and publish category figures only when enough scans make the group non-identifying. The full free report is generated on demand and is not stored on our servers unless you choose to save it, described next.

After a free report finishes you can choose to save it to an email address. We hold that request (the report and the address you typed) for up to two days while we wait for the address's owner to click the confirmation link we send; if it is not confirmed in that time, the request is deleted. Only a confirmed save is attached to the address and kept. Once confirmed, we store the report exactly as you saw it (the brand details you entered, the questions, the AI answers and the scores) together with your email address, so you can reopen it from the “your reports” page and compare later runs against it.

The confirmation email and sign-in links are the only emails saving signs you up for: it is not a marketing list. Saved reports are kept until you ask us to delete them; email hello@skavora.io from the address a report is saved to and we will remove it.

Skavora does not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. We use Vercel Web Analytics, a cookieless, privacy-respecting service, to understand aggregate usage: page views and a small set of named product events (for example “a scan started” or “a checkout opened”). These events carry no personal information: never the brand details you type, never the contents of a report. Visitors are counted with an anonymised hash that expires within a day; we cannot identify you from it and do not try.

We also use Google Search Console to see which search queries lead people to the site. That data is aggregate and comes from Google; it involves nothing being set or read in your browser by us.

Scans are powered by third-party AI providers: Google (Gemini) for the free report, and additionally OpenAI (ChatGPT), Anthropic (Claude) and SerpApi (Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode) for the multi-engine report. The buyer questions generated for your scan (which include the brand and category you entered) are sent to those providers to be answered, subject to their own terms. Payments, when you buy the full report, are handled by Stripe. Card details go to Stripe directly and never touch our servers. The report-ready email after a purchase is delivered by Resend, our email provider. The site itself is hosted on Vercel, which, like any host, processes requests (including IP addresses) to serve the site and provides the analytics described above.

Scan inputs are kept in short-lived server caches and expire automatically. Rate-limit records are held in memory and expire within the hour. The anonymised free-scan research rows described above are retained for aggregate research. Emails you send us are kept as long as needed to handle the conversation.

Depending on where you live (including under UK and EU GDPR), you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you. Given how little we hold, the fastest route is simply to email us. We'll act on it promptly.
